What happened to Ma.gnolia?
You may have noticed that the Ma.gnolia feed at THEWEBLIST.net has been down for several weeks now and has today been replaced by bringing back the Mixx.com feed. So what happened?
What seems to have happened is something in their database became corrupt and crashed the site. It also seems that they have been unsuccessful to recover any of the data. The site therefore is not currently operating.

new look theweblist.net for 2008
Firstly I would just like to welcome you to the new look theweblist.net homepage. We have been working on it for a while and while the changes may only be minor I hope it will be clearer and simpler to use!
Over the next few months we will be continuing the “new look” theme with some exciting new features for theweblist.net so keep your eyes peeled!
The new look comes with some exciting new feeds for you to enjoy including Mixx.com, Boingboing.net and nowpublic.com.

As you may know running a website is not free. THEWEBLIST.net is funded by advertisers who choose to advertise on our homepage. THEWEBLIST.net is getting constantly more popular which is great, however the more people who visit and view the site the more it costs to run it (for more information see here). Unfortunately the extra costs of running the site each month are not being completely covered by the advertising income.
This means that unless we can raise some extra money THEWEBLIST.net will have to close for a few days at the end of each month to prevent us from being changed extra. We do have a plan in place however. A slightly new look with some improved features will be rolled out soon, coupled with improved advertising opportunities should help us bridge the gap. These new features are not yet ready and this is why we need your help in the meantime.
